In the summertime...

...when the weather is, erm not fine. Summer is known for being hotter but in HK it is also wetter. With Typhoon warnings and the likes it is better to carry an umbrella at all times(it also means the odds of being poked in the eye with one increase) . I managed to capture some moody looking wet weather pics this week...using my dinky diana... no effects here just the gloom of grey skies and torrential rain.

Amelia's Art Jam-a-lam Birthday

Happy Birthday!

Hong Kong is the land of birthdays, not a week goes by without someone turning another year older (or so it seems). The usual 'drink' is had in celebration for most but when it comes to close friends more fun takes place. And there couldn't have been more fun than last weeks epic 'art jam' for Amelia...new talents were born, many paintings were created - some layered on the same canvas - wine, beer and paint was involved in most if not all the art works and I am sure there was more paint on me than there was on my canvas but I put that down to artistic flow...eh hem.

All n' all it was a extremely creative evening and ofcourse the evening wouldn't be complete without a round of DPs...

Vita x VM

I love Vita Lemon Tea, Vita being a Hong Kong brand of juice and milks...anything in a carton really. Since their 70th Birthday last year they have had several different artwork/designs on the cartons of their drinks. Awesome. Some are funny, others cute and there are ones which I just don't quite understand. Below are a couple of my favourites...

Is this MJ???

Over the past year I have tried to snap as many of these to now share them with you. Enjoy.

Juxtaposition...

Hong Kong is very diverse when it comes to the architecture of the city. Amongst the many high rise office towers and residential blocks there are the wonderful time capsule buildings like this fruit market in Yau Ma Tei...

Forty Winks...

Sometimes the heat just gets too much and finding a shady spot can often by hard, so why not catch a snooze under your trusty umbrella.

Malau Montain...

Hong Kong is a vibrant and fast paced city. What people don't know is that 70% of Hong Kong is green, open space.
Not so long ago I bought a trusty HK hiking book which gives you knowledge of the open spaces HK has to offer, one such place is Monkey Mountain. After much hiking I thought all was at loss when the supposed monkeys were no where to be found, but fear not the mischievous monkeys were just around the corner...

Going, Going, Goa

VM:HK went VM:GOA at the begining of April.
It was a short trip to catch up with some old friends and to see what had been promised as an amazing place to visit.
Armed with my new CYMK Diana and trusty IPhone I managed to capture the memories I will have of the beautiful places and people of Goa, India.
